Rabat - The ministerial committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in charge of the action plan for the benefit of Al Quds Asharif and Palestine announced, on Wednesday in Rabat, the setting up of an action group tasked to act internationally to defend this cause according to a well-defined action plan.
"We agreed to set up one working group which will lead to the creation of three groups each with a specific mission as part of actions carried out internationally, mainly with superpowers," said foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar at a joint press briefing with OIC secretary general Iyad Ammen Madani and his Jordanian and Palestinian peers Nasser Jouda and Riad Al Maliki respectively.
This action, based on international systems of reference, will be launched in mid-December with the aim of making our voice heard by influential powers, putting an end to Israeli assaults and practices in the Palestinian territories, ensuring respect for international law and securing rights of Palestinian people, said Mezouar.
The proposed measures and actions conducted internationally will favor the creation of a climate propitious for serious talks to reach the two-state solution, he said
