Louardi, Most Succesful Minister in Morocco’s Government: Poll

Marrakech - Houssaine Louardi, the Minister of Health, was voted the most successful minister in AbdelilahBenkirane’s government, according to a poll conducted by the Moroccan daily L'Economiste in collaboration with the Sunergia Foundation. The poll, released on Tuesday, ranks Moroccan ministers according to their achievements and impact on their sector. El HoussaineLouardi ranked first on the list with 18 percent of  votes, followed by Minister of Equipment, Transport, and Logistics Abdelaziz Rebbah with 13 percent, Minister of Justice Mustapha Ramidwith 19 percent and Minister of Agriculture Aziz Akhannouch with 9 percent. Moroccans hailed Louardi’s policy of reducing the price of medicine to make it more accessible to citizens and alleviate the costof health insurance. After decreasing the prices of nearly 1,600 drugs in 2014, the Minister will lower the pricesof 98 drugs in 2015. Speaking in the Aloula TV show “Qdaya Wa Arae” (“Issues and Opinions”) aired Tuesday night, Rebbah said “we are proud of the achievements of this government.” Edited by Timothy Filla
