In a joint statement issued at the end of the official visit of the Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI, the two countries agreed to consolidate the legal framework of their ever-growing economic relations by signing 17 institutional agreements.
HM King Mohammed VI and President Ouattara also stressed the need for promoting economic integration between their respective countries in a way that enables the free movement of goods and people as well as the pooling together of capacities and resources, the statement added.
The same source recalled that the two Heads of State chaired the second Moroccan-Ivorian economic forum which brought together business delegations and CEOs from the two countries.
On this occasion, 23 agreements were signed by businessmen interested in taking part in this strategic partnership, the statement concluded.
