Rabat - Stakeholders in the Libyan crisis started, Thursday afternoon in Skhirat (suburbs of Rabat), a new round of talks under the supervision of the UN support mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
UNSMIL announced on Tuesday that the next round of the political dialogue will be held next week in Morocco, after all invited parties agreed to participate.
The UN mission said in a statement that parties formally informed it about their decision to participate in the dialogue following close consultations with the UN Secretary General Special Envoy, Bernardino Leone, during his visits to Tubruq and Tripoli on Sunday.
The statement added that the parties underscored the importance of resuming the dialogue process urgently, as it is the only serious way to find a peaceful solution for the political crisis Libya is going through, and put an end to the military conflict, which has caused suffering for the Libyan people.
