Rabat - Royal Air Maroc, Morocco’s national carrier, has denied the rumors reported by some electronic news websites saying that one of its planes had an accident in Agadir Airport.
In a communiqué published on Monday, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) said that the plane that had an accident in Agadir Airport does not belong to its fleet.
The Moroccan airline company calls on news outlets to be “more professional and accurate” when reporting such news that may “harm the reputation of the national airline company.”
The accident in question was that of a private jet that was forced to carry out emergency landing after the pilot could not release the landing gear.
The private plane, which had departed earlier from the Canary Islands and was carrying the pilot, his wife and kids, was severely damaged when the pilot skimmed the plane on its belly on the ground after the wheels did not come out.
Luckily for the family, none of its members was hurt.
