Rabat - Moroccan national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) started on Wednesday to operate direct flights from Casablanca to Doha, in attempt to link Africa to Asia.
The new route was officially launched this Wednesday by an official delegation headed by Minister of Transportation and Equipment Aziz Rabbah and Head of RAM, Idris Benhima.
RAM’s maiden direct flight flew the delegation, on Wednesday, to Doha from the International airport of Casablanca. The Moroccan delegation visits Qatar in order to hold discussion with the Qatari airline officials.
The new service, which runs three times a week, is operated by a Boeing 787 equipped with 274 seats, according to a statement released by RAM.
The statement said the new service aims at boosting the daily direct flights between Doha and Casablanca, which was operated by Qatar Airways.
