Rabat - Morocco and Egypt have agreed to take a step forward in their bilateral relations and announce a new generation of high value-added agreements, Egyptian ambassador to Morocco Ahmed Ihab Jamal Eddine said.
In an interview published Thursday by Egyptian paper "Al Watan," the diplomat highlighted the ongoing efforts to update the bilateral agreements in various fields, underlining that both countries are determined to give new impetus to economic and commercial cooperation while strengthening the private sector's contribution to this momentum.
In this context, he expressed his desire to resurrect the Moroccan-Egyptian Business Council and hold a Business Forum that will strive to select the promising sectors endorsed by both parties.
The Egyptian diplomat also noted the ambition to make Morocco a starting point for Egyptian companies towards West Africa, and Egypt a launching pad for Moroccan companies wishing to invest in East Africa and the Gulf region.
