The video posted by RT on their YouTube channel shows a female Spanish police officer pushing the woman in a wheelchair down a passage way before counting to three when she and another police officer pull the woman out of the wheelchair and leave her sprawled on the pavement, before returning back the same way with the wheelchair.
According to RT.com, the event took place in the Spanish-controlled city of Melilla at the border of the town of Beni Ansar in Nador on Tuesday.
Having been thus forcibly expelled from Melilla, which Spain claims as its territory, the woman lay on the ground motionless in front of a Moroccan police officer and other Moroccan citizens who were filming the scene.
Social media users criticized harshly the “brutality of the Spanish police officers,” blaming also the Moroccan police officers and others who were watching the whole scene without lifting a finger to help the woman.
The same source said that the Spanish police officers “defended their actions, saying she had entered the country illegally and alleging that she was in ‘perfect’ health.”
“The ‘disabled’ woman was well known to the authorities and border officials,” RT said.
The same source added that the woman has undergone a medical examination just prior to her expulsion from Spain, with doctors saying she was in “perfect” health.
Every day, African migrants attempt to cross the borderline between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla by jumping the dividing fence that is covered in barbwire. RT.com did not report how the woman got into Melilla.
