Taroudant - The Moroccan post office, Barid Al Maghrib, released new postage stamps featuring Moroccan well-known historical figures.
The new postage stamps, by which the post office aims to pay tribute to the country’s patrimony, display photos and names of people who shaped Moroccan history thanks to their remarkable contributions during the colonial period, as well as in sports, the arts and politics.
The post office said this initiative aims “to perpetuate the memory of a number of Moroccan historical figures that marked the history of the Kingdom.”
Approximately 100,000 postage stamps were issued, selling each for MAD 3.75, the post office noted.
