Guelmim - Heavy rains that poured in some Moroccan regions have caused the death of at least 17 persons, including 13 in the province of Guelmim, who were washed away by floods, according to a new toll supplied by the interior ministry.
The ministry also said 18 persons, including 15 in Guelmim, are still reported missing.
Rescue teams conducted air and ground operations that helped rescue 200 persons, including 40 who were rescued by helicopters of the Royal Armed forces and the National gendarmerie, according to the source.
